Discover what relevant food safety information means for your business.

Explore in four steps how RASFF Lens brings together official sources, your company profile and verifiable alerts.

Illustrative example, not a real alert. All products, incidents and company details below are fictional demonstration data. Nothing is sent or stored.
Step 1 of 4
Company profile

Indicate which products are relevant.

Fictional company
Example Foods Ltd

Example categories:

  • Wheat raw materials
  • Egg products
  • Processed bakery products

RASFF Lens can compare alerts with user-confirmed product groups, raw materials and hazards.

Suppliers, countries of origin and recipes are not automatically inferred as company facts from public sources.

Official sources

One place for information from different sources.

Official food safety alerts include the source authority, date, product category and nature of the hazard. Each supported source retains its own provenance and status.

Example source A

Fictional signal about a raw material

Example source B

Possibly related fictional record

Not every international source under research is operational yet. RASFF Lens makes that distinction explicit.

Relevance

From alerts to an evidence-based assessment.

Fictional scenario: An official alert might concern a wheat raw material. The example company has confirmed wheat as a relevant raw material.

  • Product group: possible match
  • Risk: shown with source context
  • Business relevance: to be checked by the quality manager
  • Uncertainty: visible, not hidden

A possible match does not prove the company purchased the affected goods or batch.

Decide for yourself

Review the source, manage your profile and decide.

Quality staff can examine evidence behind an alert, update their own profile details and organize relevant follow-up.
